Position 1.
Volunteer Teacher
Teka
appoints overseas student as a Volunteer Teacher.
Volunteer Teachers are responsible to teach English
language to the government school students during their
placement. Volunteers either can run the classes by
their own methods or go along with the developed
activities by Teka. Besides students are also benefited
from volunteers by receiving group dynamic and
extracurricular activities regarding moral and social
science, health and sanitation, environment conservation
and so on. Volunteer's efforts are proved to bring
behavioral changes in student's day-to-day activities.
Position 2. Volunteer
Counselor
Volunteers, who are interested to work with Children and
Women, are sent to the Children and Women shelter in the
various parts of the country. They work as a Volunteer
Counselor in such shelters where the Children and Women
are kept from the different backgrounds such as suffered
from domestic violence, trafficking and homelessness and
so on. In Nepal, presently, large number of Nepalese
women and children has been suffering such complexities.
Working with such groups, Volunteer Counselor can
provide counseling difference by sharing their knowledge
and experiences.
Position 3.
Social Development Volunteer
Teka appoints Social Development Volunteer
especially to work with the community groups. This work
aims to bring changes in local communities in the areas
of heath and sanitation, environment as well as
economical welfare. Along with Teka team, SDV design and
delivers community level training and awareness
programs, interaction and workshop and seminars. The
community level economic groups as well as Environment
groups of school students are helpful to work together
to fulfill the goal.
Position 4. Program Development Associate
Teka appoints Program Development Associate to
assist Volunteer Program. The position is based in Teka
office, Kathmandu. Along with Teka personnel, PDA will
be responsible to coordinate with volunteers, visit
field to monitor volunteer program, developing volunteer
activities and so on.
Note:
Position 1,2,3 & 4 are non-paid job. The volunteer is
responsible to pay the program fees.

Other Opportunities
1.
English Teacher
This is not a volunteer job. You can apply as a English
Teacher to teach English Language to the Nepalese
students at School, Language and Colleges. The job
starts from 7 am – 1 pm, 3 pm – 6 pm. The remuneration
is based on negotiation. In the beginning, you will
receive Nepali language course will teach English
language simultaneously. In the leisure time, Teka will
take you for sight seeing, exposure visit, village stay
and so on. You are responsible to pay Teka program cost.
You will also live with Nepalese family to experience
their language, culture and tradition.

2.
Visitor
You can visit Nepal as a Visitor. Teka provides you
assistance to visit various popular sights and
destinations. As you know that Nepal has rich cultural
diversities as well as many natural and historical
heritage. You will have company to see around the places
and have wonderful experience. You will responsible to
pay the program cost. From this, Teka will arrange you
accommodation, travel and transportation, sightseeing,
foods during your stay in Nepal.

Should be interested to go for trekking, rafting,
hiking and mountain sightseeing

Should be mentally prepared to spend few days in
village (country side) to experience people lives,
culture and tradition.
